With almost 10 years of tattooing experience, Cody has quickly risen to be one of Melbourne’s best black and grey tattoo artist.

Specialising in realism tattoos, Cody thoroughly enjoys working with the client through the design process to create a unique, completely custom tattoo design, wether it be a small fine line tattoo or a large, full body design, or a tricky cover up.

  • Portrait Tattoos

    Portraits of famous people, loved ones, our heros, and even our best friends (for animal lovers!) are common choices for realistic tattoos. If you’re looking to celebrate an important person, entity, or event, a portrait tattoo can be a great tattoo style. This is one of Cody's favorite subjects to tattoo!

    Known in the industry as "job stoppers", hand tattoos are generally for those that are already heavily tattooed. Shoot us an email with your ideas and lets get you unemployable!

    Some animals represent qualities that people admire or aspire to possess, such as strength, courage, wisdom, or loyalty. Animals are frequently chosen for their symbolic significance, and their tattoos can serve as powerful representations of personal traits or ideals.

  • Fine Line Tattoos

    Fine line tattooing uses small needle groupings to create a thin, delicate, intricate tattoo design evoking fine artwork and even paintings. This style is often presented through fine intricate designs, delicate flowers and miniature portraits.

Discussing in person is always best, especially when planning the larger designs! Consults are free and outside of work hours, but if you’d like to save yourself a trip down you can always send us an email with any images and a description for what you are looking for.

Tattoo “Flash”

For when you can’t make up your mind, Cody has a bunch of custom per-made designs to choose from. Since there is no extra time required creating these design from scratch, these designs are charged at a discounted rate. You can find these designs on Cody’s Instagram & TikTok

Bookings

For those who know what they want and are ready to go, Cody has a range of choices; Minimum (2hrs), Half Day Bookings (3.5hrs) & Full Day Bookings (7.5 hrs)

FAQs

Are consults available?

Consults are free and are available to be booked in via the bookings page. Once you’ve booked, please fill out a form so that we may have all the information ready for the consult.

How to book?

Wether you are a new client or an existing one, simply book through the booking link at the top of the page. For all new projects we ask you to fill out a form, which will save more time for tattooing on the day! Cash, savings, credit and afterpay are all options to pay for your tattoo, however afterpay clients are required to go through the afterpay process before making their tattoo appointment.

Do tattoos hurt?

Everybody is different, and there are some good spots and some bad. The best thing to do is make sure you have a good breakfast, stay hydrated, bring some lollies and download some entertainment on your phone and you’ll be fine! There is nothing scary about tattoos! If you are going to listen to your phone, please bring headphones.

Is AfterPay available?

Yes! Afterpay is available for tattoo appointments, but you must complete the afterpay process via the link above before you book your appointment. Card payment on the day is also on option however cash is always preferred.

Can I use numbing cream?

We do not recommend numbing cream as it makes the skin thicker and sometimes harder to tattoo, but it is completely up to you and we are happy to discuss this further.

How long will my tattoo take?

All tattoo designs are unique and require their own quote, however, here are some estimates for larger tattoos;

Inner forearm: 1 - 1.5 full days
Calf: 1 - 2 full days
Full Arm sleeves: 6+ full days
Full Leg sleeves: 7+ full days
Full front: 6 full days minimum
Full back: 8 full days minimum

Many factors affect the price of a tattoo, including the detail of the design, the size, quality of skin, and you ability to sit through long hours of tattooing

What is “tattoo flash”?

Tattoo flash is just an industry term for a pre-made design. Sometimes there is no need to come up with your own design when Cody has so many already made up on his socials! These ‘tattoo flash’ are at a discounted rate of $1000 per day as the time spent normally creating a unique, custom design is not needed. Check out either the instagram or tiktok for a plethora of designs.

How do I get to the studio?

The tattoo parlor is found at 395 Gore St Fitzroy, and while there is parking on the street, you run the risk of the parking inspector. We suggest parking in the Aldi car park up the road just to be safe.

Are gift cards available?

Gift cards are available below and are valid for up to 3 years! The perfect gift for someone who is looking to get tattooed or has already started the process.

Tattoo aftercare

We protect all our tattoos with the highest quality of tattoo aftercare; second skin. Originally made for medical use, secondskin is a medical-grade, transparent, adhesive barrier that protects new tattoos. It is latex-free, waterproof, breathable and hypoallergenic. We recommend leaving it on for as long as possible (3-5 days would be perfect), as long as the seal is not broken (ie; no water gets in, no bodily fluids come out). Once you decide to take it off do so in the shower under warm water. Apply tattoo cream (either Dr pickles or bepanthen cream) once or twice a day until the tattoo no longer looks dry.
